Typically with mp4 videos we would download the video from the video platform and upload it to a website. However, since interactive video allows for a personalized, dynamic experience with data collection that’s beyond the capabilities of a regular video, it needs to be used as a hosted solution. For Mindstamp’s interactive features to work effectively on your website, you’ll want to embed or share the full-screen link. This means that you can’t just download a finished interactive Mindstamp video and re-upload it to your site like any ordinary video.
If I can’t download videos from Mindstamp, how do I share it?
Video is a great way to engage followers on social media since social video generates 1200% more shares than text and image content combined. Different from website videos, social media requires you to upload your videos rather than embed them. This means Mindstamp interactive videos on social media are unable to function similarly to an embedded website video and will not allow users to engage with the interactive features.
However, if you are interested in social sharing on a site like Facebook or Instagram, we recommend you create a short video clip of your interactive video with a call to action for your audience to experience it first-hand. You can do this by creating a screen recording, using a platform like QuickTime Player, of your Mindstamp video and then uploading it to your social post with a link to the full video.
Here’s an example of how we used QuickTime Player to create a screen recording of our Mindstamp interactive video “in action” to share on social media:
With Mindstamp, you can use conditional logic to offer your customers a more personalized viewing experience by changing your viewer’s video based on their input 👩💻
